New NIH study to research the risk of hearing loss in Detroit firefighters

(Wayne State University - Office of the Vice President for Research) With the help of funding from the National Institute of Environmental Health Sciences of the National Institutes of Health, a Wayne State University professor is researching gene-environment interactions to determine the association between environmental exposure to lead and cadmium and hearing loss in Detroit firefighters.
